Tucked Aluminum Radiator for 1982 – 1991 BMW E30, 1991 – 1999 BMW E36, & 1999 – 2006 BMW E46 by Chase Bays
The new Chase Bays tucked radiator for BMW is designed to free up space in BMW engine bays, improve cooling performance and aesthetics. This radiator is a cooling upgrade, with more fluid capacity than stock, more direct airflow, and dual pass design. It’s mounted under the core support to open up to 6″ of space. This radiator has been rigorously track tested on our Chase Bays E36 drift car & on countless race/drift/show winning builds.
Chase Bays has designed this all aluminum radiator to fill every bit of space under the core support while still being able to run 16″ electric fan. Requires some light cutting of front core support. They’ve integrated features no other competitor is offering. From fan sizing to modularity.
This radiator will require the use of custom hoses as the factory hose setup will not work. Additionally, this radiator sits lower than the original stock orientation. Due to this a new fill point is necessary. Chase Bays offers multiple hoses, clamps, and filler necks which will allow you to meet your engine bay needs as desired.
Optional Fan: Chase Bays 16 Ultra HD Fan rated at 2,200 CFM. It’s important that the fan is on its own relay w/ proper sized wiring & fill point is the highest point in the system. Purchasing a Dual Fan Relay Harness w/ 180 degree F thermoswitch will simplify the wiring. Fans should be mounted using proper hardware, mounting any fans to this radiator using zip ties will immediately void the warranty.

- E30: Lower bar will need to be cut, hood latch must be removed, and surrounding hood latch metal trimmed.
- E36: Slight trim to the upper grille valence on the left and right sides required.
- E46: No trimming required.
